Flower People

These works are based on the story and experience from the beautiful island in Korea called Sorokdo (소록도) where it’s a habitat for leprosy patients. People on the island are described in symbolic figures, ‘Flower People’. Figures of the survivors from the battles are posed as mythological figures seamlessly entwined with the resurgent nature, a testament to Sorokdo’s capacity to rise from the shadow and embrace a hopeful future.
